Delete your account

If you no longer want an ArtSpace account, you can delete it from your settings. Deletion is a deliberate, confirmed action and it is permanent — this page walks you through where it lives and what to expect.

Before you begin

• Save anything you want to keep first — for example, download original video files or images you uploaded.
• If you own an organization, decide what to do with it first. Account deletion is separate from deleting an organization, and organization ownership can't be transferred to another member — so if it should not continue, delete the organization separately (a sole Owner can't leave; they delete the organization instead).
• Be sure you're signed in to the exact account you intend to delete.

Where to delete your account

1. 1Open Settings from your profile.
2. 2Scroll to the bottom of the main Profile settings page to the Danger Zone.
3. 3Find Delete your account and click the red Delete button.

Confirm deletion

To prevent accidental deletion, ArtSpace asks you to confirm in a dialog before anything is removed.

1. 1In the confirmation dialog, read the warning that the action cannot be undone.
2. 2Type the requested confirmation text (your username) to enable the confirm button.
3. 3Confirm to permanently delete your account.

Notes

• Account deletion completed is a Required notice — ArtSpace will send a confirmation message about the deletion regardless of your notification settings.
• If you only want to step away temporarily, consider setting your spaces to Private instead — see Visibility.
