Create your account

How to sign in to ArtSpace with Google and complete the one-time onboarding — your username, display name, and avatar — to unlock creating content.

Overview

ArtSpace accounts are tied to your Google account. Signing in for the first time takes two short steps: authorize with Google, then complete a one-time onboarding where you choose how you'll appear on the platform. Once onboarding is done, you can create Spaces, like, and comment.

Google is the only sign-in method. ArtSpace does not offer email-and-password accounts.

Before you begin

  • A Google account you can sign in with.
  • A username in mind — it must be unique across ArtSpace and becomes part of your public profile address (/your-username).

Step 1 — Sign in with Google

  1. 1Select Continue with Google on the sign-in screen.
  2. 2Choose your Google account and approve access in the Google window.
  3. 3You're returned to ArtSpace, signed in.

By continuing, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Step 2 — Complete onboarding

The first time you sign in, you'll land on a Set up your profile screen. ArtSpace pre-fills your name and photo from Google, but you can change any of them. Fill in the following:

  1. 1Avatar — keep the photo pulled from Google, or upload your own image.
  2. 2Username — your unique handle. It can be 3–39 characters using letters, numbers, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). A check mark appears when the name is available; an X means it's already taken.
  3. 3Display name — the name others see next to your avatar. You can change this later.
  4. 4Select Save & Continue to finish.

Choose your username thoughtfully — it forms your public profile address. Your display name, by contrast, can be updated anytime in your settings.

What completing onboarding unlocks

Until onboarding is finished, ArtSpace will keep prompting you to complete it before you can create anything. Once it's done, you can:

  • Create Spaces under your own name or an organization you belong to.
  • Like and comment on Spaces.
  • Get a public profile at /your-username and a private Dashboard of your activity.
  • Respond to any pending organization invitations waiting for you.

Notes

  • If someone invited you to an organization before you signed up, you'll see those invitations flagged during onboarding — finish your profile to view and respond to them.
